About Us
John and Menna run the Barrow. They have over 30 years experience
in the restaurant trade. The restaurant itself has been open
for 19 years. The Barrow originally opened on November 24th
1989, and has since been refurbished in 2006/7. As it is a
building that has such character and age refurbishment
is an ongoing thing.
The building was formally Alms houses and is a historical
part of St. Asaph. The 18th century Alms houses were built
by Bishop Barrow and have been
updated very tastefully without losing any of their charm.
